The IR spectrum of benzophenone shows the possibility of an aromatic structure with a small peak at 2902.36 and a large peak at 1612.26. This spectrum does not show any evidence of a ketone, but  it does show evidence of C-O bonds and O-H bonds. Possible evidence of an alkene  appears with a small peak at 2974.64. An alkene is different from an alkane by having double bonds between carbon atoms rather than single bonds.
