On February 2nd, we held the Pharmaceutical Sciences Graduation Thesis Presentation Session and the Pharmacy Graduation Thesis Interim Presentation Session. Two fourth-year Pharmaceutical Sciences students and five fourth-year Pharmacy students presented their graduation theses and interim reports.

　The Department of Biochemistry won both the softball tournament and the badminton tournament in this year's School of Pharmaceutical Sciences inter-laboratory competitions.

　On December 11, Associate Professor Tadanobu Takahashi received the President's Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Faculty Activity Evaluation at Shizuoka Prefectural University. This award recognizes faculty members who achieved remarkable accomplishments in the university's Faculty Activity Evaluation for the 2024 academic year.

　Assistant Professor Yohei Tsukamoto received the Outstanding Young Investigator Presentation Award at the 98th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Biochemical Society, held at the Kyoto International Conference Center from November 3 to 5. This award is presented to young researchers who deliver outstanding presentations at the Annual Meeting of the Japanese Biochemical Society.

　At the 2025 Joint Academic Conference of the Tokai Block of the Japanese Hospital Pharmacists Association and the Tokai Branch of the Pharmaceutical Society of Japan, held at Suzuka University of Medical Science's Shirako Campus on October 26, fifth-year undergraduate student Anju Nishiie received the Best Presentation Award. This award is presented to students who deliver outstanding presentations at the joint academic conference.

At the 44th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Carbohydrate Research held at the Hirosaki Cultural Center on October 3rd, graduate student Shota Hata received the Japanese Society for Carbohydrate Research Poster Award. This award is presented to young researchers who delivered outstanding poster presentations at the previous year's 43rd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Carbohydrate Research.

　Assistant Professor Yuuki Kurebayashi received the Japan Society for Carbohydrate Research Encouragement Award at the 44th Annual Meeting of the Japan Society for Carbohydrate Research held at the Hirosaki Cultural Center on October 3. This award is presented to researchers who have achieved outstanding research results in the field of carbohydrate science. An award lecture was given at the same meeting on October 4.

　At the 71st Annual Meeting and Conference of the Tokai Branch of the Pharmaceutical Society of Japan held at Meijo University's Yagoto Campus on July 5, Naoki Uesugi, a second-year master's student, received the Student Outstanding Presentation Award. This award is presented to students who deliver outstanding presentations at the Tokai Branch Annual Meeting and Conference of the Pharmaceutical Society of Japan.

　Yuki Fujita, a fourth-year undergraduate student, received the Presentation Award at the 89th Annual Meeting and Symposium of the Chubu Branch of the Japanese Biochemical Society held on May 24 at the Nagoya City University Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

　At the 145th Annual Meeting of the Pharmaceutical Society of Japan held at Fukuoka International Congress Center from March 27 to 30, fourth-year undergraduate students Kenya Suzuki, Misaki Nagaya, Kana Fukazawa, and Yuki Fujita received the Student Presentation Award.

　Assistant Professor Yohei Tsukamoto has joined as of April 1.

　Yutaka Narimichi, a 6th-year undergraduate student, and Yoshiki Wakabayashi, a 2nd-year master's student, received the Area Excellence Award at a ceremony held on March 19 at the small auditorium of the University of Shizuoka. This award is given to students who have achieved outstanding results in their undergraduate and graduate studies.

　The degree conferment ceremony was held on March 19, and two 4th-year students , three 6th-year students, and four master's students received their degrees.

　Four master's students presented their master's theses at the graduate school's master's thesis presentation held on February 7 at the small auditorium of the University of Shizuoka.

　On February 4, the school of Pharmaceutical Sciences held a graduation thesis presentation meeting and an interim presentation meeting for graduation theses in the school of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Two fourth-year students and five fourth-year students presented their thesis and interim reports.
