Policies for Gradulate Program in Pharmacy (4-Year Doctroral Course) 

Diploma Policy

In the Graduate Program in Pharmacy, our stated educational objective is the training of pharmacists and medical pharmacological researchers with a high level of expertise that will enable them to play an active role at the forefront of fields related to medical pharmacology and clinical pharmacy. Students who have acquired the following qualities and earned the specified credits will be awarded the degree of PhD (Pharmacy).

  1. High-Level Proficiency with International Dialog
  • Has acquired the ability to gather information and the necessary communication skills and international sensibility to be successful at a global level.
  1. Sense of Ethics
  • Has acquired a sound sense of ethics that provides the highest priority to bioethics and the patient’s human rights.
  • Understands the responsibility and vocation of research and has acquired a sense of sound scientific ethics.
  1. Advanced Knowledge and Skills
  • Has the knowledge and skills to conduct state-of-the-art medical, basic, and clinical research.
  • Has knowledge and skills necessary for solving problems in clinical and research activities.
  • Has the requisite knowledge, skills, and communicative abilities to be able to succeed in a leading position in medical field or in the context of research activities.
  1. A High Level of Clinical Ability
  • Has acquired the clinical ability to be able to demonstrate initiative in discovering and solving the various problems encountered in the sites of medical practice.
  • Has acquired the ability to propose and implement drug-based therapy as well as contribute to team-based medicine in a leading role.
  1. Motivation for Self-Improvement
  • Has acquired the will and ability for constant self-evaluation, self-reflection, and self-improvement as a medical professional.

 

Curriculum Policy

The following curriculum has been developed for training leading pharmacists and researchers in the field of medical pharmacology, who will not only possess a sense of ethics as medical professionals but also contribute as leaders in the medical field, by developing world-class language and communication skills and cultivating the knowledge and skills that will constitute the foundation of clinical pharmacy and pharmaceutical research.

  1. Through lectures subjects in pharmacy-related fields, to foster a sense of ethics and the acquisition of advanced pharmacy-related knowledge.
  2. Through pharmacy-based exercises and an experimental research program, to foster problem-solving skills and superior clinical and basic research skills.
  3. To conduct language education and small-group discussions for developing the linguistic proficiency and communication skills necessary for playing an active role in international society.

 

Admission Policy

We are seeking the following kinds of people as candidates aiming to become leading pharmacists and researchers in the field of medical pharmacology, who will not only possess a sense of ethics as medical professionals but also contribute as leaders in the medical field, by developing world-class language and communication skills and cultivating the knowledge and skills that will constitute the foundation of clinical pharmacy and pharmaceutical research.

  1. Individuals with a sound sense of ethics, strong beliefs, and enthusiasm in the form of a desire to contribute to society as leading pharmacy professionals.
  2. Individuals with a foundation in basic pharmacy-related knowledge and skills acquired at university and who have the motivation to learn and a scientifically inquiring mind in the form of a desire to develop these further.
  3. Individuals with logical thinking abilities and the creativity to respond flexibly to the needs of society and who will maintain a constant critical awareness of medical and pharmaceutical treatment and will engage with solving problems in a logical fashion while exchanging opinions with others.
