Policies for Graduate Program in Pharmaceutical and Nutritional Sciences (Doctroral Course)
Diploma Policy
The educational goal of the Graduate Program in Pharmaceutical and Nutritional Sciences is to train personnel who will be able to contribute at a global level by playing a leading role in Pharmaceutical and Nutritional Sciences and fields of research concerned with the science of health longevity. Students who have acquired the following qualities and earned the specified credits will be awarded a PhD (Pharmaceutical and Nutritional Sciences) or PhD (Pharmaceutical Life Science).
- High-Level Proficiency with International Dialog
- Students will acquire information gathering and communication skills that will allow them to achieve global success in the Pharmaceutical and Nutritional Sciences and fields of research concerned with the science of health longevity.
- Sense of Ethics
- Students will acquire a proper sense of ethics and the ability to solve research problems.
- Advanced Knowledge and Skills
- Students will have an understanding of and be able to think logically about a wide range of knowledge based in pharmaceutical science and the food and nutritional sciences.

- Students will have the research ability and motivation necessary to propel original research and development in their field of specialty.

Curriculum Policy
The following curriculum has been developed for training researchers and highly trained professionals who, having mastered the interdisciplinary academic field of the Pharmaceutical and Nutritional Sciences, have acquired an integrated understanding of pharmacy, nutrition and food science and who, through their research in this area, will have the knowledge, research skills, and appropriate sense of ethics to be able to play an active role as leaders at a global scale, driving original research and development with ambitious spirit and exceptional high-level perspective required for engaging with the science of health longevity.
- To foster a sense of ethics and train personnel who have acquired advanced knowledge in the field of Pharmaceutical and Nutritional Sciences.
- To foster excellent research by through an experimental research program and exercises in the Pharmaceutical and Nutritional Sciences.
- To cultivate the linguistic proficiency and communication skills necessary for playing an active role in international society and to develop the skills necessary to engage in international dialog.
Admission Policy
We are seeking the following kinds of people as candidates who aim to contribute to a healthy longevity society through cutting-edge scientific research that integrates pharmacy, nutrition, and food science based on a shared perception of the “integration of food and medicine,” and who, from both a material science perspective and a life science perspective, play a role in the Pharmaceutical and Nutritional Sciences in fields that bridge the gap between food and medicine.
- Individuals interested in the academic field of the Pharmaceutical and Nutritional Sciences as a means of extending a “healthy lifespan” and who are motivated to reinvest the resulting outcomes of education and research in society.
- Individuals possessing basic academic skills and research abilities in academic disciplines such as pharmacy, nutrition, food science, or life science that are necessary for mastering the specialized field of Pharmaceutical and Nutritional Sciences.
- Those who are able to adopt a global mindset with the intent of contributing toward society at all levels, from the international community down to the local community.
